The new Lakeside Terrace at Hudson Manor was the perfect setting for the wedding of Robert and Kenya on September 13, 2008. They are both in the military and stationed at Ft. Bragg but discovered this wonderful wedding venue for their special celebration. As you can see, yellow was the color of this special wedding day. Kenya wore a beautiful wedding dress and carried a bouquet of yellow and white flowers. Kenya's three children, Ajani, Nandi, and Jaden were all part of the ceremony which included the sand pouring ceremony symbolizing the unity of this newly formed family.
We remembered their family members who could not make the long trip to be with us this day. The bride and groom managed to get through their sweet vows with a few tears and then we poured the sand. We closed with a blessing and everyone recessed into the elegant reception hall to escape the intense heat and humidity. Rhonda Holmes was the capable photographer and Cinda of Cinda's Creative Cakes made the delightful wedding cake! Melissa, proprietor of Hudson Manor, was on hand to supervise the festivities and direct the wedding. It was such a special day for Kenya and Robert and their families and friends. Best of everything to you all!
