Hanna did not stop Greg and Patty from getting married!

Patty and Greg came to see me in March about their wedding September 6, 2008. Little did we know then that Hurricane Hanna would be paying the Triangle a little visit that day! But Hanna was not as severe as predicted so their wedding was a go since it was later in the afternoon. (Two earlier weddings of mine that day were postponed due to the weather conditions.)

It was a breezy sunny afternoon at Eagle Ridge Golf Club for Patty and Greg's wedding. It was held out on the porch with the sun streaming in just lighting up the beautiful floral arrangements. Lenny Fritts, DJ, provided the music as we all processed in and took our positions up front of the guests. Patty's beautiful granddaughter was her only attendant and held their two gorgeous bouquets during the ceremony. There must have been about 80 guests and among them were Greg's parents, happy to see him get married, at last!

The ceremony was about 20 minutes in length and included a beautiful poem the couple wanted read for this occasion "I Love You This Much" author unknown. After the pronouncement they kissed...and kissed...and kissed! We closed with a sweet blessing and I introduced them to their guests who were cheering for them.

After greeting their guests, we posed for some pictures for the photographer, Greg's brother-in-law Ken, who lives in Virginia. The stunning wedding cake was by AshleyCakes.
We left the couple with Lenny and their guests as the celebration festivities were getting started. Congratulations, Patty and Greg, and have a great honeymoon island hopping--and, watch out for those hurricanes!
