Megan and Cliff's Wonderful Wedding at The Garden on Millbrook!

The old saying is that "March goes out like a lion" and that truly fit for Megan and Cliff's wedding on March 28, 2014! It was in the mid to high 40s with a good breeze making it seem colder than it really was. Nevertheless, we decided at the rehearsal the day before to go ahead and have the ceremony outside anyway and we did! It was a beautiful bright sunny day and looking at the photos, you might think it was a warm day in May.
Megan and Cliff's wedding was held at The Garden on Millbrook, a lovely venue with an outdoor garden space and an elegant ballroom with nice facilities for the bridal party to hang out before the ceremony.
Their DJ was Jesse Noa @ DJ Supreme
The beautiful floral arrangements were provided by Embellished Blooms
When we all assembled to get ready for the wedding, half the seating was in the sunshine and it felt pretty good. However, as we got closer to the 4:30 start time, both sides of the seating were in shadow. The plan was to put down a runner but it was impossible to make it lay flat with the wind blowing. So we had to scrap the idea.
Back inside this is the elegant foyer area with the grand piano.
The pretty wedding cake was baked by Jessica Alexander of Pretty in the Details. Three different delicious flavors.
Monica Noa with Nouveau Events was our wedding director. She had just returned from fetching the bride and parents from the hotel.
Behind the bride is Monica's assistant, Callie.
Patti, Mother of the Bride is so happy! She couldn't stop smiling!
Marc Dabagian is with The Garden on Millbrook and has been at this venue for many years including the years it was owned and operated by Sisters' Catering. Marc and I have done a lot of weddings together! Kelly Martin was their photographer and she and I have done many weddings together too!
After the grandparents were escorted in, Troy, father of the groom, escorts Teresa, mother of the groom, down the aisle.
Mother of the Bride, Patti, was escorted in by her brother, Bob, uncle of the bride.
Cliff, his guys and I entered from the side door and took our places. (Right before we entered, I decided I had to wear my wrap for warmth and was so glad I brought it with me!)
After the pretty bridesmaids processed in, it was time for Tim, Father of the Bride, to escort our beautiful bride, Megan, down the aisle.

You can see how the wind was blowing Megan's veil and hair toward Cliff!
The pretty bridesmaids got to enjoy standing in the sun!
A warm welcome to everyone then a prayer......
 Honoring of their parents....
 Telling their love story!
Cliff reading his vows from book to Megan. He wrote them himself and they were so sweet.
Megan read her vows (equally sweet) to Cliff then they exchanged rings.
Time to make this official with the pronouncement of marriage!
Sweet kiss after Cliff broke the glass and we applauded and shouted Mazel Tov!
Such a happy couple to be stepping into their new lives as husband and wife!
Megan and Cliff, great wedding! Your careful planning made it a very special day. Congratulations and best wishes for a wonderful marriage and satisfying life together!

Great Wedding at Caffe Luna for Kelly and Chris!

Kelly and Chris were set up by friends and Chris' younger sister who thought they should meet. It took a while for them to find the right date and time to meet but finally they did. And, they really clicked with each other. Chris proposed three months later and they set a wedding date of March 19, 2011 and began planning the wedding, an experience that was exciting but also quite stressful. Nothing new about that stress factor! At any rate, they did well and created a lovely wedding at Caffe Luna, a really fun place to have the ceremony and celebrate with their families and friends!
When all the guests had arrived, we began with the seating of the mother of the groom, Debbie, by Chris' stepfather, Bill, also groomsman.
Sandy, mother of the bride, was escorted in by her son-in-law, Billy.
The processional got a bit out of order as the ring bearer, Hunner, and the flower girl, Becca, came down the aisle next, but really, what does it matter!
Our pretty bridesmaids were wearing Horizon Blue, a very electric and happy color!
Kelly and her father, Rich, make their grand entrance. Kelly was beaming.
The sun was streaming in the windows of Caffe Luna that Saturday morning and we were bathed in golden light, how heavenly!
Chris' Aunt Kelly read "The Art of Marriage" by Wilfred Arlan Peterson and we all turned toward her to listen.

Kelly was one of the most calm and collected brides I have ever experienced. She was just taking in the moment as I told their love story. Chris was pretty happy and calm too.

Hey! It is all over and time for pictures and the reception to celebrate this rite of passage for Kelly and Chris.
During the ceremony, a little tear--just one--rolled down Kelly's cheek during the ceremony leaving a little tear track in her make-up. She just needed a little touch up blending before the photos.
Chris is so glad the ceremony is behind them and is looking forward to their honeymoon! No more stressing! Hooray! This is not the first time I have heard these sentiments from the groom.
Their lovely blue and white cake was baked by Simply Cakes. The florist was The Flower Shop of Wendell, and the photographer was Kelly Martin Photography. She had Brittany Jones and Sabrina Short with her as second and third shooters so the wedding was thoroughly covered. Both Kelly  and Caffe Luna referred the couple to me. Thanks, Kelly and Caffe Luna! I have done many weddings with Kelly and many at Caffe Luna too.
I just love these bridesmaids dresses. The color is so striking and such a festive color. A great choice. Kelly is making one of her funny faces here. She probably developed that talent for her Pre-K and kindergarten students!
Chris and Kelly, you know I want all the best for you both and wish you all the joy and love in the world!

Kimberly and Timothy's Wedding at All Saint's Chapel!

Kimberly and Timothy waited a long time to find that special someone and when they did, they were inseparable. In fact, their wedding day was exactly 4 years after they met, to the day.
Timothy wanted a traditional wedding ceremony but Kimberly not so much. So together we created a ceremony  that combined both styles. Kimberly was escorted in by her father where Timothy was waiting for her. Then the couple stepped together up the steps to join me on the altar symbolizing taking their relationship to greater heights together.
After welcoming everyone, we began with a prayer followed by asking all their guests to give their blessing and support to their marriage.
A tribute and thank you to their parents followed by a reading of First Corinthians by our Maid of Honor, Pam.
Then on a lighter note, Dean, our best man, presented a poem by Anonymous titled: "He Never Leaves the Toilet Seat Up."
I told the story of how Kimberly and Timothy met, fell in love and what they look forward to in marriage, then the vows and ring exchange. They represent another successful love story thanks to e-Harmony!
The declaration of marriage was made and then the guests read in unison The Irish Blessing for the couple which was printed in their very beautiful programs made by Kimberly.
Of course, the kiss was next with much jubilation!
Here they are, the newlywed couple!
Down the aisle to the beginning of their new life together as a married couple.
Tim is especially happy that the ceremony is over! He was a bit nervous but Kimberly was cool as a cucumber! They balance each other. All went very smoothly and, Kim and Tim, I trust your marriage will go as smoothly! I wish you all the best!

Our Vendors:
All Saint's Chapel: A great place to get married if you want a church setting. I love doing weddings here. Sarah Morris, the events coordinator for the chapel, was on hand to make sure everything was running smoothly.
Priscilla Erwin with Orangerie Events was our wedding director. Thanks, Priscilla.
Kelly Martin was our photographer. Kelly and I have worked together many times. Thanks Kelly!
John McHugh filled the chapel with the lilting Celtic music of the Uilleann Pipes and tin whistles. He is great! You get the same effect as a bagpipe without the screaming volume suitable only for outdoors!
