Eric and I got to chat with Stephan, the audio person with The Umstead. I got all miked and did a sound check.
We were waiting for the sun to go down behind the building before we started.
Sarah was escorted in by her father, David.
As you can see, the sun had not quite gotten behind the building yet.
Cara Galati with F8 was our professional photographer.
We thanked Sarah's parents for all their love and support. We also remembered Eric's parents who have departed this earth.
Ahhh! The sun has given us some relief.
I told their story and they heard their secret paragraphs. Then they made their vows to each other and exchanged rings.
Eric was really taken with the symbolism of the sand ceremony and had gathered many colors of sand to intricately layer together.
They poured their sand together.
Time for the pronouncement of marriage!!
Eric wasted no time in giving Sarah a really nice kiss to seal the vows!
A little smile at each other as reality sinks in that they are married!
Presentation of the couple to their guests.
And away they go!
The finished sand sculpture!
Sarah and Eric--a very sweet wedding. Simple and elegant and so unique to the two of you. I know you are now enjoying wedded bliss with all your canine companions! Bless you!!
