Heather and Dan Wed at Duke Gardens!

Heather called me one day in April about doing her small intimate wedding at Duke Gardens in May. She and Dan did not want any guests or attendants. We made all the arrangements by email and Marty and I met Heather and Dan and their photographer, Kelly Martin, in the parking lot of Duke Gardens on Saturday May 1, 2010. I suggested we head up to the amphitheater where I knew we would have more privacy and a beautiful enclosed setting.

They chose to get married in the gazebo that was bedecked with white climbing roses in full bloom.

Dan is concentrating on saying his vows to Heather while putting the ring on her finger!

The ceremony of course was short and sweet, literally. There were no guests to welcome, parents to bless, readings to read or introductions necessary.

They look pretty happy to me! Their plans were to go get their little doggie and head to the beach for a quick honeymoon.
