LAUREN AND ADAM'S BEAUTIFUL WEDDING AT THE STOCKROOM!

Lauren and Adam met with me in January of 2016 about officiating their wedding that was originally set for April 22nd, 2017 at The Stockroom 230. Wisely they got a very early start booking their vendors so they would get first choice. They ended up changing their wedding date to April 15th and I still had that available.
This cute hanging sign greeted their guests as they arrived for the wedding.
Dave and I arrived one hour ahead of ceremony start time to get my mic plugged into DJ Mark's system and do a sound check. Mark is with BunnDJ Company and he and I were together the previous weekend at a wedding at different venue  in downtown Raleigh. He is wonderful to work with!
Their florist was Wylde Flowers in downtown Raleigh.  This is the first time I have done a wedding with them. The hanging canopy filled with peonies and greenery was simply stunning and I've never seen that done before. Clever!
The couple's wedding planner, Jordan Williams with Ever After Planning in Illinois, was great to work with. We met for the first time at the rehearsal. Here we are discussing the processional music with Mark.
This beautiful cake is by Sugar Euphoria
I forgot to ask, but I bet this "wedding cake" dish has special significance!
The bar area was all set up. After the ceremony the guests were invited to enjoy cocktails while the big room was being flipped. Rocky Top was catering.
Another stunning floral hanging canopy.
Then it was time for us to go all the way to the top to the Glass Box where the wedding party was hanging out before the ceremony. The couple had done a first look with their photographers, Taylor and Andrew Lovette of Blue Barn Photography
Securing the boutonnieres on the groomsmen.
Adam is on the right with one of his groomsmen. Hmmm--crooked bowtie I needed to straighten!
Two of the guys were out on the deck enjoying some fresh air. It was a beautiful day.
The guests were seated and it was time to begin. I lead the groomsmen in first. When I got up front and watched the groomsmen take their places I noticed several had crooked bowties. So before Adam escorted his mother in, I took the liberty of straightening them. The guests had a good laugh!
Adam escorted his mother Margie in next.
Then the Mother of the Bride JoAnn was escorted in. Beautiful sparkling golden dress!
Our Maid of Honor Melissa entered after the other bridesmaids had processed in.
Time for our little ring bearer Benson. His parents were holding their breaths hoping he would make it down the aisle!
And he did! His mother was so happy to intercept him!
Our beautiful radiant bride and her proud father David begin their walk down the aisle!
The parents gave their blessings to the couple and all were seated.
The ceremony began,
A welcome to all their guests.
I asked their parents to stand as we paid tribute to them.
The story of how Adam and Lauren met and fell in love! They were classmates in 7th grade in New York State then Lauren's family moved across the country to Oregon but they managed to stay in touch with each other. After Adam graduated from pharmacy school in 2012 and relocated to Florida,  they began talking more frequently which led to Adam inviting Lauren who was still in Oregon to visit him in Florida. That was all it took for them to become a couple and a few months later Lauren moved to Florida to begin a new chapter in their lives. A couple of years later they relocated to Raleigh and the rest is history!
Now they get to hear what each other told me in confidence about what they love about each other, why they want to marry and what they are  looking forward to in marriage.
They exchanged their promises of marriage with each other.
Then the ring exchange.
I was delighted to now pronounce them husband and wife and invite them to kiss!
What a kiss!
Yay!
I don't remember what caused them to look back--their wedding party's cheers most likely!
And away they go!
The wedding party and family exited and the guests enjoyed cocktails while the couple got some more photos!
Lauren and Adam, congratulations on your marriage and for planning such a wonderful wedding! I wish you all the best!
