When Marty and I arrived for the wedding we were greeted by Marc and Asher, his West Highland terrier. Marty spotted this "portrait" of their fur baby inside the house and snapped a photo.
So after collecting the marriage license and Mindy putting together a lightbulb in a plastic bag for breaking, we moved to the deck overlooking their secluded and wooded backyard to decide which way to orient ourselves for the ceremony.
Then the guests were invited outside. Mindy's mother and Marc's parents were present as well as his grandmother and a few friends.
And so we began the ceremony welcoming everyone and paying tribute to their parents.
A few words on love and marriage while Asher investigates the plastic bag!
Marc places the ring on Mindy' finger as he makes his vow to her.
I made the pronouncement of marriage and invited Marc to break the glass in the Jewish tradition honoring Mindy's heritage. Watch out, Asher!
Wham! Everyone shouted Mazel Tov and Marc kissed his beautiful bride!
Applause all around as Asher wonders what happened when Marc stomped the glass!
Still checking out that bag that made such a big noise!
"Yay, we're married!"
Mindy and Marc, what an honor to join you in matrimony! You are a great couple and I can feel that you are very much in harmony with each other. I wish you a very wonderful wedding celebration in Florida and a happy and enduring marriage.
