Kaitlyn and Peyton's Fabulous Wedding at All Saints Chapel!

Kaitlyn and Peyton met in 2008 in Raleigh. Since then their careers have taken them all over the United States. Kaitlyn is a veterinarian who has specialized in equine veterinary medicine and now ophthalmological veterinary medicine. She is smart as a whip---and unflappable! Peyton's love of landscape photography has taken him all over the world to capture astounding photographic images. He is a very talented photographic artist. So as a couple they are strong whether together or apart. Sally Oakley, their wedding planner, referred them to me in November of 2014 to officiate their wedding on November 14th, 2015 at All Saints Chapel. We were all on the same page to create a personalized and romantic wedding ceremony focusing on their love and commitment to commemorate the beginning of their married life together.
The big day arrived and the chapel was all decked out for the wedding. Dogwood Tree Florals used baby's breath and candles to embellish the altar chest. The pedestal in front holds the wooden wine box.
They had a special box made to hold a bottle of wine to which they added hand written love letters to each other as part of the ceremony. They are to open the box on their first anniversary, pour each other a glass of wine and read the other's letter to them so they can remember how madly in love they were on their wedding day. They are to pass this custom along in their family as an example of true eternal love and to repeat the process every 5 years.
Our DJ from Blue Box Weddings mans the sound board which is located in the loft of the chapel.

Meanwhile downstairs in another area, the wedding party and parents gather with the bride and groom to await the arrival of the guests.
This menu shows the delicious food provided by Empire Eats.
The guests are all seated and it is time to begin the processional.
The couple's friends, Cora Beth and Phil, provided the processional music.
Peyton escorts his parents, Linda and Bob, first then returns to come in with me and his groomsmen.
Sally and I are waiting for Peyton to return.
After all the groomsmen and bridesmaids were in position, it was time for our little flower girl, Adalynn, to enter. She developed a case of the "shys" but she did make it down the aisle to her waiting father who made sure all the flower petals were scattered in front of the altar.
I invited all the guests to stand for the bride and her parents while Sally opens the door and sends them in.
Pat and Bob proudly escort Kaitlyn down the aisle.
It is a memorable trip down that aisle!
It has gotten dark outside and the candlelight in the chapel is warm and inviting.
We started off with a warm welcome to all present followed by a prayer and remembrance of their loved ones no longer with us physically.
And then it was time to honor their parents with a blessing and thank them for all their love and support.

Telling the story of how they met and fell in love!

They read their vows to each other from my book then exchanged rings.
Time for them to place their letters in the wooden wine box.
A closing blessing followed.
And then the pronouncement of marriage!
I invited Peyton to kiss his beautiful wife!
Everyone is cheering!
And out they go!
After the wedding party recessed, I invited the guests to go downstairs for cocktails while the ceremony area was being turned.
Peyton and Kaitlyn, congratulations to you! Thank you for choosing me to join you in marriage. You were a delight to work with and I know you are now enjoying wedded bliss and a very happy marriage!

Maha and Sidney Have a Wonderful Family Wedding at Home!

Maha called me on November 6th to see if I could marry her and Sidney on Wednesday November 11th, 2015. They had planned to marry at the courthouse but had just found out that was a holiday (Veterans Day) and the county offices were closed. We were both delighted that I was available to officiate for them and so we began planning the ceremony.
Originally their wedding was going to be just the two of them and their two witnesses. With the setting changed, the wedding began to mushroom into a more formal and well attended event! This is the great room of Sidney's home in Wakefield Plantation. The sunlight was streaming in.
The sand ceremony was all set up for the wedding.
Maha's brother, Samir, has the honor of escorting our beautiful bride into the ceremony.
The sun makes really interesting patterns in the room as Maha and Sidney turn and face each other for the ceremony.
Time to welcome everyone present. Sidney's parents, Ruth and Denny, drove up from Georgia to be with us. Sidney's sister, Angelia, and his two daughters, Holly and Haley were with us as well. Maha's two sons, Mohammed and Samer, and her sister, Noha, were present as well.
They included the family unity sand ceremony and invited all members of their family to participate.
 Sidney's parents pour.......
 Maha's sons pour.......
 Their sisters pour.....plus more.
The blended sand showing the unity of this new family.
Then it is time for them to exchange their vows and the rings.
"By the authority vested in me, I now pronounce you husband and wife!"
They are so happy for this day!
 It is really real!
 Presenting the newlyweds!
Maha and Sidney, thank you for finding me and allowing me to join you in marriage. I wish you love, peace and joy!
