Charlene and Doug Marry in their Home in Fuquay-Varina!

Charlene called me in August about officiating her wedding to Doug on October 25th, 2014. They live in Fuquay-Varina just over the Harnett County line on a beautiful piece of farm property they recently purchased. It was the perfect setting for their wedding!
Helping Charlene's son Michael with his boutonniere. He is escorting the bride in for this wedding!
When the guests had arrived our very good director and friend of the bride, Melanie, got us all lined up on the side of the house and signaled us when to walk. After the family was seated, Doug and his brother and best man, Mike, and I made our entrance.
Charlene's daughters, Courtenay and Caitlyn, then entered followed by Charlene and Michael.
Charlene and Michael stopped at the bottom of the steps while I asked "Michael, do you and your sisters bless and support your mother as she comes to join in marriage to Doug?" Of course his answer was "Yes, we do."
Doug and Charlene moved up to the porch after Michael slipped into his place next to Mike.
I opened with a warm welcome to all who had traveled from near and far and then a prayer based on First Corinthians. We remembered their loved ones who have passed on and those who could not make the trip to be with us. Charlene's parents and her sister and her family were happily with us and received recognition for their presence.
Doug and Charlene also spoke to Charlene's children during the ceremony telling them how much they loved them and how important they are in their relationship.
Doug and Charlene have known each other for many years through work. But as they gradually  got to know each other through the years, they came to realize that they are each other's "missing piece" and want to be together forever.
Doug and Charlene, I am so happy you found each other and that now you feel complete and look forward to living happily ever after! I enjoyed getting to know you and thank you for giving me the honor of joining you in matrimony! I wish you all the happiness and contentment in the world!

Cinthia,

We missed you at the wedding. Wish you could have been with us. They made sure that we did remember you in the ceremony though. Doug and Charlene are a great couple and I know they will have a very happy and fulfilling marriage.

Blessings,
